U.S. marshals arrest Mississauga man wanted for 2022 double homicide at Vaughan nightclub
Kensworth Alton Francis, 29, from Mississauga is facing two charges of first-degree murder and one charge of attempted murder. On July 23, 2022, two security guards at the ATL Lounge died after they were shot in the nightclub.
A suspect wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for a 2022 double homicide in a Vaughan nightclub was arrested in Connecticut by U.S. marshals on Tuesday.
Kensworth Alton Francis, 29, from Mississauga is facing two charges of first-degree murder and one charge of attempted murder in connection with the triple shooting.
At 3:30 a.m. on July 23, 2022, police responded to reports of gunshots at the ATL Lounge, near Hwy. 7 and Keele Street, which has since closed. Officers found three victims with gunshot wounds.

The two men killed in the shooting worked as security guards at the nightclub. They were identified as 25-year-old Tosin Amos-Arowoshegbe and 22-year-old Chibueze Momah. The third victim who survived the injuries was described as a 20-year-old woman and a patron at the establishment.
York Regional Police said they had been actively working with the BOLO (Be On the Look Out) program, RCMP Interpol Fugitive Apprehension Support Team and the U.S. Marshals Service to locate the suspect. He was taken in custody in Hartford, Conn., and investigators are working with the provincial Ministry of the Attorney General to extradite the man to York Region.
