At the question-and-answer session during an all-candidates' meeting at Regent Park Community Centre last Thursday, Cathy Crowe ducked as the exuberant, voluble and digression-prone independent candidate to her left gesticulated wildly while making a point about Canadian currency and Japan. Not exactly a bread-and-butter issue in Regent Park, but all-candidates' meetings are democracy in action.
