Maxwell: HRV eases air pressure problems

How can I balance the air pressure in my house? At 7 a.m. there can be as many as five fans pumping air outside – the furnace, gas-fired hot water heater, two bathroom fans and a kitchen exhaust hood. Surely this creates negative pressure that would wreak havoc with the heat recovery ventilator (HRV) I'm planning to install.
