Milk paint delivers classic look

Sometimes the best way to finish furniture and interior woodwork begins by looking to the past. I was reminded of this last week, as I transformed an ordinary, pine bookshelf I'd built into something that looks like a rare antique. Milk paint made it possible, and besides the fact that it comes in a range of heritage colours, I also love working with this stuff. It's safe, fast-drying and when used in a particular way, delivers a beauty that only gets better with everyday bumps and dings.
