That recent stretch of spring-like weather is enough to fire up your redecorating bug. But if calling in the contractors isn't part of your budget, you can still freshen up your home on the cheap with these tricks:

Clean. Yes, it's simple, but sunshine looks even sweeter through a gleaming window.

Rearrange. Over time, carefully arranged vignettes fade into the background. Gather all your accessories on your kitchen table, then re-deploy them around your home. Suddenly, that vase looks brand new again.

Fix minor annoyances. Do you reach for the wrong cupboard when you want glassware? Is a creaky door driving you batty? Fixing these small, but oft-put-off problems is a great start to the season, and makes your life easier to boot.

Grab some flowers. You deserve a treat, right? And nothing says spring like a hit of something fresh and fragrant growing in your decor.
