Ty Pennington's top 6 tips for around the house
February 18, 2010
Ty Pennington
1. Take an old flat-panel door, add A-frame legs, and voila-an instant work table.
2. Don’t hold on to the past. If you haven’t used it, needed it, or admired it in the past 12 months, say adios.
3. Give junky furniture new life with a coat of paint (no wimpy colours) and new hardware.
4. Let the sunshine in. Hang mirrors across from glass doors and windows to maximize natural light.
5. Light up an outdoor walkway with solar-powered lanterns. If you don’t get enough sunlight, look for landscape lights with energy saving LED batteries.
6. The easiest way to revitalize your home is with a gallon of paint.
