All the cool kids are quaffing smart cocktails these days. But the coolest of the cool will soon be depositing their dainty drinks on nifty coasters that offer a mini light show whenever a glass is placed on them.
Powered by a small battery, these new colour-changing coasters from Sylvania slowly turn red, purple, green and blue. A pack of four sells for about $20 at Home Hardware stores and online at Sylvania.com.
We think these things are seriously groovy, but we caution against using them on St. Patrick's Day when the beer is green.
