Finding garden parties a bit flat this season? It could be the underachieving summer weather. Or maybe you just need to pump up your guest list.
If you don't have any A-list contacts who can inject a touch of pop-culture glam to your entertaining, you can fudge it by adding life-size cardboard figures of well-known personalities from CSN Stores.
Think of the buzz you'd create if the new IT couple – Barack and Michelle, of course – hung out with your homies, and were even the last to leave!
Just remember that the best parties include a cross-section, so don't hesitate to mix it up. The company that makes the figures has a fairly extensive collection of celebs, film stars and politicos, each for $35 (U.S.).
Of course, it's not quite diverse enough for our dream bash, which would bring together – among others – the Pope, Steve Tyler and Gloria Steinem. But still, there are enough characters to get the party started.
