Espresso cafés within walking distance enhance the European flavour of 37 upscale townhouses in Woodbridge.
The project by Falconcrest Homes, named for Renaissance artist Vasari, is set within an established neighbourhood with shopping, restaurants and schools already in place.
Giorgio Vasari, who lived from 1511 to 1574, was an Italian painter and architect. Vasari coined the term "Renaissance" and is famous today for his biographies of Italian artists.
The homes at Vasari have fine architectural details such as steeply pitched roofs, mullioned windows, brick and stone exteriors. The three and four-bedroom units are freehold condominiums.
"It's aimed at people who are looking to step down (from larger homes) or first-time buyers looking for an upscale townhouse, with the luxury of less maintenance," says Falconcrest president James Di Luca.
Interior features include luxurious kitchens with granite-topped islands, breakfast bars and chef's desks; one model includes a cocktail bar. Main floors have nine-foot ceilings and general living and dining areas for entertaining.
Upstairs, the master retreat includes large walk-in closets (some models with his-and-hers closets) and ensuites with oval soaker tubs and extra large shower stalls.
There are eight models, ranging from 1,808 square feet to 2,024 square feet, some with double-car garages and many with rear yards. Prices start at $389,990.
A special preview bonus package offers five appliances (three stainless steel in the kitchen), central air, natural strip hardwood flooring in the living and dining rooms and Rogers digital cable and Internet free for one year.
Vasari offers easy access to Highways 400, 401, 427 and the 407 and the new Viva transit system stops right at the site.
The sales centre is on the south side of Highway 7 at Helen St. just west of Pine Valley Dr. Hours are Monday to Thursday, 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., and weekends 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Call 905-850-1770 or visit vasaritownhomes.com.
