Elie Nehme and Mani Mani, both of whom graduated from the Carleton School of Architecture, are a young duo who operate a design atelier under the name of fishbol.
Together, they’re emerging as a quadruple-threat, working in the fields of architecture, fashion, home products and furniture for clients as far away as Seoul and Kuwait.
Their plywood book seat cleverly combines seating with a shelf for books and magazines.
You can see more of their work at the Interior Design Show, where they’ll participate in Studio North, an exhibit of 35 noteworthy Canadian designers. Works range from furniture to lighting and accessories in various media including wood, metal, ceramics and glass.
If you love great design, and are eager to support Canadian talent, this is an event you don’t want to miss. Trust us, you’ll see stuff that will keep you talking for months.
