Hook, line and stinker?

SPECIAL TO THE STAR
Manufacturers who want to see their wares featured in the Star sometimes make claims that seem a bit fishy. So when when we learned about the Fish 'n' Flush, a $300 (U.S.) toilet-tank aquarium, we wanted to find a homeowner who had actually bought one.
Alas, there weren't even any nibbles on our initial fishing expedition. Recently, however, we hooked up with Lenore King, a homemaker and daycare operator in Whitby, who bought a Fish 'n' Flush in March.
King, whose home decor includes a Coca Cola-themed master bedroom, wanted a Fish 'n' Flush (fishnflush.com) as soon as she heard it described on a radio show. "I've always been drawn to the unusual and the unique," she says.
The Fish 'n' Flush became the centrepiece in a main-floor powder room, where it provokes gasps from guests and squeals of delight from the children who attend daycare in King's home. It's especially popular with those being toilet trained. "It certainly does seem to draw them to the bathroom," King says.
Four goldfish are currently admiring the festive Christmas backdrop that King has created, but the scene changes almost monthly, when King cleans the tank.
The only cloud on the horizon?
King wonders what will happen if she ever has to move. "I kept the other toilet, in case we ever sell the house," she says with a laugh, "because I've already decided that if I have to go, that toilet is coming with me."
